私がまだ２０代の頃は、湘南も熱海辺りも、海がきれいなイメージがなかった。当時はダイオキシン流出が公害的、環境破壊的な問題となっており、海面の色も海の匂いも、正直酷いものであった。海が好きなので毎年海水浴に出かけたが、必ず伊豆半島の南、下田近辺まで出掛けたものである。
あれからおよそ２０年、海洋環境は随分改善されている。熱海のサンビーチに潜ってみると、意外に海中を遠くまで見通すことができ、多種多様な生き物が住んでいる。波打ち際には、時折アサリが顔を出す。
When I was still twenties, I don't have the image of the beautiful sea around
"Shonan" and "Atami". At the time, thew social issues about the outflow of
dioxin and the environmental destruction occurred here and there. The smell
and color of sea was so bad honestly. Though I had gone to a sunburn for my
love for the sea every year, I had been to Shimoda region in south end of Izu
Peninsula absolutely.
It passes 20 years from the time, and the circumstance of the sea is improved
very well. When I dived into the Sun Beach in Atami, I could see the scene far away through the water, and I could recognize that various creatures inhibited in
this area. At the edge of the sea water on the beach, many clams often
appeared from the white sand.
名前の通り”日の出が見える砂浜”が、由来である。１９８６年開設とあり、案外歴史は新しい。通っていた歯医者の受付の女性が熱海の地元で、色々とビーチの来歴を語ったてくれた。なんでも昔は防波堤がなく、泳ぎだしたらもう戻ってこれない死の海岸であったらしい。海流に流され続け、まっすぐ進めないと話していた。その方は子供の頃、熱海の海には決して泳ぎに行ってはいけないと、両親や祖父母から諭されていたということである。

went to a dentist, a woman who have worked at the reception in the dentist and was born and raised in Atami told me the old history about the beach. She said
that there weren't the two breakwaters at the old time, if people began to swim
in the sea, everyone couldn't come back absolutely, so it was the death beach
at the time. As everybody continued to flow by the ocean stream, they can't
swim straight toward the shore. When she was childhood, her parents and
grandmother persuaded her that you never go swimming in the sea.
Though I'm honestly confused with the excessive congestion at the beach in
the summer time, I want to inform you of the current situation in the sea by my movie.
昨年、スキューバのついでに、スキン・ダイビングも始めてみた。こちらは特に重い器材を背負うこともなく、装備も簡単でありがたい。ただ、体が冷えやすい性質ので、防寒に難儀している。上下繋ぎのウェット・スーツは密猟を疑われる場所があるので、装着できない。上下別で、下半身は半ズボン用のウェット・スーツを身に着けることになる。
もともと水泳があまり得意ではないので、潜水の方法や肺活量の増幅についてはまだまだこれからである。でも、綺麗で面白い海中生物の生態を、寒さの限界まで勝手気ままに眺めるのには、飽きることがない。

Last year, I began Skin Diving in addition to Scuva Diving. As I don't have to
burden the heavy equipment, I appreciate the simple wears. However, My body is easy to be cold, so I had trouble in last summer. If I putted on a wetsuit which connect the upper part with the lower part directly, I would be suspect about the poaching. I must wear the separate type, and the lower pant have to be the half type.
As I'm not good at swimming, my current level is to practice the way of going
under the sea and the increase of the lung capacity. But Im' not bored with
watching lives of the beautiful and interesting creatures under the sea.
