館山は、さかなクン地元であるらしい。スキューバ・ダイビングを二日続けると、諸々の理由から激しい頭痛に見舞われるので、休憩のための中日を作る。まる１日自由な時間ができたので、渚の駅に併設されている”さかなクン・ギャラリー”と”水族館”に出かけた。
I heard that Tateyama is the hometown of "Sakana kun" who is a expert of
fishes, the sea creatures and the circumstance in the sea. When I played the
scuba diving for two consecutive days, I experienced that I had a splitting
headache. So I took one day interval for the diving. As I can get one free day, I decided to go to the gallery and the aquarium of Sakana kun which was
established in the Beach station.
さかなクンギャラリーでは、さかなクンの生い立ちや館山の海で観察できる海の生物を知ることができる。ギャラリーの２階の”渚の博物館”には、昔の館山の漁師が使った道具や漁法、漁師の家など、漁師の文化に纏わる実物や模型が展示されていて、興味深い。因みに、ギャラリーから２階に続く階段上からは、迫りくる？マグロの群れを拝見できる。

the sea of Tateyama. On the second floor above the gallery, there is "Museum
of the Beach". The museum displays the real stuffs and the model, for example, many tools which the old fishermen used, the way to get many kind of fishes
and the fisherman's house. They are very interesting. In addition, you can look at the group of tuna which come closely ...? from the middle of the stairs.
２階には館山の海を一望できる展望デッキがあるので、日本３大団扇である房州うちわの展示室を除いた後、眺望を楽しもうと屋外へ出る。なんだか不自然な人だかりがあったので気になったが、眼前の広大な清々しい景色を動画に取りたくて、携帯をいじっている。すると、まさかのさかなクンが現れた。ロケの最中であるらしく、他に二人を伴って館内を案内している様子であった。真面目で熱心な姿は、メディアで拝見しているままである。

operated my cell phone to take the photos of the nice view expanding before
me. Then, it's amazing! Sakana kun appeared here. He was shooting some TV program withe two persons, so he guided his gallery and aquarium for them. My impression about him through TV is honest and earnest, it is true.
水族館は別棟にある。そこでは、館山に生息する生物の中から数多い種類が水槽内で飼育されており、実際に目で見ることができる。一角には海岸に打ち上げられた貝殻が箱に山のように積み込まれており、持ち帰りが自由であった。
ここが特殊であったのは、貝類について細かな展示と説明がされていること、それとウミホタルについての動画と解説がされていることだった。光る物質を体内から放出している様子を映像で見ると、感心しつつも様々な疑問が湧く。

have lived in the sea of Tateyama was kept in the small water tanks, and we
can see them directly. Many seashells were stuffed in a few boxes at a corner.
The seashells are free to bring back.
It is unique that this aquarium explain many kind of the seashells in detail and
the sea firefly by using a movie. When I saw the scene that it expire the shining substance, I was but impressed and also had some questions.
最後に水族館に隣接したお土産のブースを一通り眺め、充分に満足して喫煙スペースで一服を終えると、自身でトラックを運転して帰途に就くさかなクンに再び遭遇した。それをたまたま見かけた若い女子数人が、「ああ！さかなクン、さかなクン！さかなクン、いた！」と興奮気味であった。

After smoking, I saw Skana kun again. I was going to home by driving his truck. Some girls watched him. They were excited with this fact, and told each other "Sakana kun! Sakana kun! I really saw him!".
翌日、ダイビング終了後、北条海岸の桟橋から夕日を眺めてみた。残念ながら富士山は雲隠れしていたが、結果的には、充分に満喫できた旅の終わりの寂寥も堪能できた、贅沢な旅程であった。できれば半年に一度は、定期的に訪れたい。
It was next day, after the scuba diving, I went to look at the setting sun on the
pier of Houjo Beach. It was disappointing me that Mt. Fuji was hide behind the
crowd. But I could felt the sorrowness of the end of the fully satisfied trip, and I
thought that I could pass the precious time in Tateyama. If possible, I want to
visit here once in six months.
