真鶴 三ツ石海岸で簡単なスキンダイビング Skin diving at Mitsuishi Coast in Manazuru

今年は、近隣で潜って面白い海岸を探している。個人的な”面白い”の基準は、取り敢えず海水の透明度が比較的高いこと、海の生物の種類が多いこと、である。熱海のサンビーチも十分その条件を満たしているのだが、毎回潜っているとやはり飽きてくる。珍しい生物を発見することもあるが、それも時折に過ぎない。
真鶴は熱海から二駅である。岩場が多いことから透明度が高い。加えて、YouTubeでシュノーケルをしている動画を拝観し、生息している生物種も多様なようなので、試しに訪れてみることにした。
I had searched the interesting beach near my house this year. My standard of
"interesting" is the high seawater transparency and many kinds of sea
creatures. Though "Sun Beach" in Atami has enough condition, I get tired of
diving it every time. Sometimes, I found the rare creatures. But it was only
occasionally.
Manazuru is two stations from Atami. As there are many rocky areas, in fact the seawater transparency is very high. In addition, I watched the movie of snorkel
in Manazuru at YouTube. It seemed that I can observe many kinds of creatures. I tried to visit it anyway.
真鶴駅からバスを利用するが、岬までの道すがらの景色が気分を掻き立てる。魚市場のある海沿いを走り、地元の神社の脇を過ぎ、急角度で旋回していくうねる山道を登っていく。木の間に細やかに海岸を望みながら、涼やかな森林の深い木陰を通る一方通行の道をゆっくり進んでいく。
終点が、真鶴の突端の三ツ石海岸に続いているらしい。売店や食堂、お土産屋の併設した建物、”ケープ真鶴”がある。そこのレジの方に、どうしたら三ツ石海岸へ行けるのか、尋ねてみる。この建物を出た広場の先にある階段を降りて行けばいいとのことである。だが、階段は長く、高低差が急で、先が思いやられた。
We have to use the bus to Manazuru cape. The nice scenery along the way to
cape stirred up my emotion. The bus ran the road near the fish market and the
local shrine, and climbed the mountain paths which turned at a sharp angle with watching the coat under my eyes. The big car slowly proceeded a one-way road that passed through the deep shade of a cool forest.
The terminal seemed to continue "Mitsuishi Coast" at the top of Manazuru
Cape. There was the building, " Cape Manazuru" with a food shop, a restaurant and a souvenir. Therefore, I asked the register stuff how to arrive at the coast.
She said that you have to only go to the edge of the outside square. However, I must worry about my future because the long stairs and the acute slopes waited me.
冷え性なので、着衣が多く、安全のために用意した器材がどうしても多岐に渡る。一括して封した大きなバッグを抱えて、狭い階段を降り始める。眼下に見える岩場はかなり下方で、そこまでどれほどの距離、あるいは階段があるのか、予想すらできない。動画で見た楽しそうな海中を信じて、黙々と階段と急坂を降りていく。
Because I'm sensitive to cold, I have to bring many kinds of deices for my life
safety. I held the big bag in which I packed all the devices and started going
down the narrow stairs. The rocky area visible below was quite far down. I
couldn't imagine how far I have to move from here and how many stairs I have
to go down. By believing the fun movie in underwater at YouTube, I continued to walk quietly.
汗だくになって、草むらを抜けた先の開けた眺望は、爽快であった。
もう１２時を過ぎているので、早速潜る。さすがに岩場であるだけに、魚種も多いし、海水の透明度も素晴らしい。大好きなハコフグが多く、人を怖がることがないので逃げない。今回、初めて魚群に囲われた。３６０度、どこを見回しても小魚が列を成して泳いでいる。面白い体験であった。また、這うような浅場にも生物が多い。隠れることのできる岩陰が豊富なためであろう。
After I drenched in sweat, the scene which I saw through the tall glasses was
very refreshing.
As it had already past 12 o'clock, I decided to dive right now. Here was a rocky area as I expected. Kinds of fishes were abundant and the sea transparency
was very good. Boxfishes which I like especially weren't afraid of human, so
didn't escape. This time, I was surrounded by a school of fish for the first time.
Everywhere I looked 360 degrees, small fishes were swimming in rows. It was
the fun experience. There were many creatures even in the shallows. The
reason would be due to the abundance of the rock shadows where they can
hide.
帰途は、あの階段と急坂の登りとなる。当然、先ほど降ろしてきた荷物を抱えて上がっていかねばならない。泳いで潜って楽しんだものの、体力的にはやや疲弊しているところでこれか、と思うと、気持ちが萎える。少しでも荷物を軽くするため、靴だけはサンダルに履き替えて、着替えはせずに登り始める。
力が残っているうちにと思って限界まで踏ん張る。ちょうど三ツ石海岸を眼下に眺めることのできる視野の開けた坂に出たところで、一休みする。息を整えていると、蚊が寄ってくる。しかも、縞模様のあるやぶ蚊である。こいつらはすばしっこく、刺されると一層痒いので、厄介である。
On the way back, I must climb the slope and stairs. Of course, I had to hold the luggage again. I could enjoy the swim and dive. But I felt weak by thinking
about the heavy operation after I was a bit physically exhausted. To lighten my
load as much as possible, I only changed the shoes to the simple sandals and
began to climb without changing clothes.
I pushed myself to my limit of the power while I still had strength left. I took a
break just as I reached the slope with the clear view of Mitsuishi Coast below.
Mosquitoes came when I caught my breath. Moreover, it was the striped bush mosquito. It annoyed me because it quickly moved and its sting was even more itchy than other mosquito's.
息も絶え絶えで、ようよう売店のある広場に行きつく。そういえば終バスの時刻を調べていなかったので、着替えを済ませてバス停へ赴く。時刻表に記載された終バスの時刻は、３時３５分。現在、３時４５分である。やってしまった。タクシーを呼べるだろうか。あるいは、他に手段はないか。
再び売店に戻ってレジの方に、
「終バス、３時３５分ですよね。」
と確認すると、
「いえ、今日は日曜日なので４時３０分ですよ。」
との返答であった。これまで、曜日を気にすることのない生活しかしてこなかった。これは予期せぬ幸運であった。
バスが来るまで、まだまだ時間がある。フロアの片隅に、ひっそりとした展示室を見付けた。真鶴も伊豆と同様、ジオパークの一部であるらしい。ただ、こちらは箱根ジオパークである。この一室ではそれについて、詳細を紹介していた。それはまた、別の記事に記載することにする。

Breathless, I finally arrived at the plaza where the shops were located. Come to think of it, I didn't check the time of the last bus. So, I went to the bus stop after I changed my clothes. The time listed on the timetable was 15:35. Now was
15:45. Damn! Can I call a taxi? Or, is there any other way?
I returned to the shop again and asked the stuff "Is the last bus at 15:35".
However, she answered "No. Today is Sunday. Therefore, the last bus is going
to depart at 16:30". Until now, I have lived a life without worrying about the day of the week. This was an unexpected blessing.
There's still time until the bus comes. I found a quiet exhibition room in the
corner of the floor. Manazuru also is the part of Geopark same with Izu. But
here is Hakone Geopark. This room explained the history in detail. I would write about it at another article.
