台風１４号の影響だろうか。本州辺りに低気圧が発生し、夜半からずっと雨が続いた。
明け方には雨こそ上がってはいたものの、どんよりとした悪天が続いている。そんな中、スキューバをするために川奈へと出掛ける。夏季は近場のビーチでスキン・ダイビングに勤しんでいたので、約３ヵ月ぶりである。海中深くを観察できる楽しみと、久し振りに扱う道具の事前準備や海中での中性浮力の忘却との不安が混交していた。
川奈駅には、ダイビングショップのスタッフがいつも車で迎えに来てくれている。久しい邂逅の挨拶を済ますと、
「安藤さん、今日は黄金崎です。」
「おお、ダイちゃんですか。じゃあ今、川奈は荒れてるんですか？」
「はい、大荒れです。」
ということで、本日は急遽、伊豆半島を横断しての黄金崎ダイビングとなったのである。風が強いと、波が高くなる。それぞれのポイントの向きによるのだが、川奈は海が北側にあるので、北風が強いと潜れなくなる。
（下の動画は、２０２２年５月の映像です。２０２３年１０月のダイちゃんは、ちょっとよそよそしい感じでした。去年よりも人数が多かったので、ちょっと怖かったのでしょうか。）

Honsyu and it kept raining from midnight.
At the timing of sunrise, the rain had stopped. But the cloudy bad weather
continued. In the climate, I went to Kawana for the scuba diving. As I enjoyed
the skin diving at the summer season, it is about three months since then. My
mind was mixed with two adverse thoughts. One was the pleasure that I
observed the deep sea scene. Another was the anxiety that I couldn't be ready
to treat the diving tools well as I didn't touch them for long time and I might
forget the natural buoyancy under the sea.
At Kawana station, the diving staff always came to pick me up by car. After the
greeting of the long time encounter, he said
"Yuta, today we decided to go to Koganezaki ( Golden Cape)"
"Oh, It means that I can see Daichan again! So now, is the sea at Kawana very rough?"
"Yes, it is."
Therefore, we suddenly had to play the diving at Koganezaki Beach across the
Izu Peninsula. If the wind became hard gradually, the wave correlatively
become high. Though the reason is due to the direction of the point, Kawana
point is the north facing. If the north wind became hard, we couldn't dive here.
(The following movie was took in May, 2022. I felt sorrow because "Daichan"
was unfamiliar with us this time,2023. Is he or she afraid of us because of large number of people?)
東伊豆を車で南下する醍醐味は、時には高所から広大な海原や畳なわる岬を眺めたり、はては海岸沿いに岩を打つ白波を眺めたりしながら徐々に目的地に近付いていく高揚感にある、と、個人的に思っている。
黄金崎へは、伊豆半島を東から西へ横断する道程となる。まず東伊豆から樹々の茂る峠道を登っていくと、眼下に相模湾が現れてくる。

悪天候だからこそ遭遇できた絶景もある。下り坂になり深い谷に差し掛かると、見事な雲海を眺めることができた。また、山に迷い込んだのであろうか。ガードレールで休んでいた鳶が突然飛び出し、我々の車に衝突しそうになった。
長い時間をかけて、半島を南北に縦断する山間を抜けると、待ち焦がれていた駿河湾がようやく山間に遠い姿を現す。いよいよか、と胸が高鳴る。

am gradually close to the destination with viewing the wide sea and some
overlapped capes from the high places or seeing the white wave hitting the
rocks from the road along the coast. I personally think that the real thrill of the
driving is the feeling of elation.
We had to cross Izu Peninsula from east to west to go to Koganezaki. At first,
as we went up the mountain pass road covered with trees, Sagami Bay
appeared below.
There were the superb views which were only possible due to the bad weather. After we went downhill and when we reached the deep valley, we could gaze at the spectacular sea of clouds. In addition, whether did a kite lose in the
mountain or not? Though the bird rested on the guardrail, it suddenly began to
fly and almost collided with our car.
It took long time to cross the mountains of the peninsula which traversed from
north to south. Finally, we could see Suruga Bay between the mountains. I was excited a little bit as I thought that I would be Koganezaki soon.
黄金崎が特殊なのが、まず駐車場に車を止め、ショップに連絡することであろう。すると、スタッフがワンボックスで迎えに来る。器材などの大荷物を移して乗り込む。車は切り立った岩間を縫う車道を過ぎた後、細くて危険な角度で旋回する急坂を、スリル満点で下っていく。ちょっとしたアトラクションである。
Koganezaki's diving shop is very special because we have to stop our car at the parking on the hill and called the shop. Then, he or she came to pick up us by
one box car. We transferred the large baggage such as the equipment and
boarded the vehicle. After the car passed the road that weaves through the
steep rocks, it went down the narrow and steep slope that turns at the
dangerous angle with the full thrill. It's a kind of attraction in the amusement
park.
３回のダイビングをこなすうちに、徐々に波が高くなっていった。波の押し引きが強くなっているので、海から上がるタイミングが困難になる。インストラクターさんが、直感的に強い危険度を察したのであろう。久しく、怒鳴るような厳しい指示を受けた。こんな緊張感も、自然の激しさを実感できて、気が引き締まる。高波を遣り過ごした後の、明るい”Go!"の声も、冷やりとしていた心を安心させてくれる。

received the strict instruction like yelling after a long time. By this kind of
tension, we would be able to feel the strictness of nature and my mind
tightened. After we transcended the high waves, the instructor gave me the
bright voice, "OK! Let's go now!" He removed my fear and I reassured.
