八幡野にて、２０２４年初のダイビング First diving 2024 at Yawatano

予約を入れた１月１１日の北風があまり強く、川奈ビーチはあえなくクローズであった。そこで今年初のダイビングは八幡野、という流れになった。
At January 11th when I made the reservation, a north wind was too strong. So,
Kawana Beach was closed reluctantly.Therefore, my first diving of this year was taken place at Yawatano.
八幡野の魅力は、ビーチからのダイビングでありながら、水深３０メートルまで探索できるところであろう。岩場を縫って進んでいくと広い砂地に出会い、傾斜はさらに深くへとなだらかに下降している。斜面が何処まで続いているのか気になってその先を眺めるが、最早日光が届かないので、ただ、闇に沈んでいく。ちょっとした魔の蠱惑を体感できたりする。
戻りしに、幸運にもカスザメに遭遇することができた。名前にサメとはあるものの、容姿はエイのように平たくて、長いしっぽが伸びている。砂に潜って隠れているので姿は見えないのだが、いつものように眼力の鋭いインストラクターが発見し、指呼して示してくれた。接近してみると、かなり大きめであった。

The fascination of "Yawatano" is to go to 30m depth from the beach by
swimming. After I went ahead with weaving the rocky area, I came across a
wide sandy area and the slope gradually descended deeper and deeper.
Though I looked ahead as I wonder how far the slope continued, the sunlight
didn't reach here already by the cloudy weather. So, the sight was sinking into
darkness.Therefore, I could experience a little bit of demonic enhancement.
When I went back, I could encouter an angelfish luckily. Despite that Japnese
name of the fish contain "shark (Kasuzame)", the shape is flat like stingray and
the tail grows longly.It is difficult to find it because it hid under the sand. But my
familiar instructor with the sharp eyes found it as usual and showed me by a
finger. I was very surprised because the fish was too big.
その日、最後のダイビングでは、不思議な光景を眺めることができた。砂地に埋まったゴツッとした巨岩の上に丸っぽい岩がストンと、なんだか誰かが置いたように乗っているのである。海中を散策していて、突然こうした理解を超えた光景に遭遇すると、神秘と同時に自然への畏怖を痛感してしまう。
I could look the strange view at the last diving of the day. A ball-like rock was on the a huge rock buried in the sand as if a giant put it on the rock. When I
suddenly encounter this kind of a sight beyoud human comprehension, I felt the awe of nature and the mysterious scense at the same time.
岩の上の敷き詰められたサンゴイソギンチャクのふかふかのベッドには、いつものようにミツボシクロスズメダイが親子で住んでいた。クマノミもいるのだが、今回は、近づくと隠れてしまった。
The parents and children of "Threespot dascyllus" always live in the bed of
coral anemones which spred out on a rock. We knew that "Clownfish" lives in it
too. However, it hid in the coral anemones as we accessed the rock.
長くて白い背びれを棚引かせて泳ぐハタタテダイは、優雅である。今回は、あちこちで眺めることができた。
頭に角が生えたような、不思議な容姿のテンスの子供と成魚も観察できた。茶色い子供は、本物の木の葉のように、海水の揺蕩いに任せて遊泳する。近づいても、”私は木の葉だよ”と、ずっと演じ続けているのがいじらしい。

"Pennant coralfish" was elegant becuase they swim with dragging the long and white dorsal fin. I watched them here and there this time.
I could observe the adult and child of "Goddes razofish" which has the strange figure. The fish looked it had a horn on its head. The brown child was swimming with the sway of the seawater like the real leaf. Even if I got close, it continued
to play a role of the leaf. It is so cute as if it wispered "I am a leaf. I am a leaf".
シマウミスズメという名ではあるが、ハコフグの一種である。フグ類は体が大きい割に鰭が小さいので、泳ぎが緩慢である。かなり接近しても、こっちの様子をちらちら伺いながら、ゆるゆると離れていくだけである。そこがまた愛らしいのではあるが、今回、そのシマウミスズメが、高速で他の魚を追い払う光景に出くわしてしまった。え？ほんとは速いの？と、インストラクターと共に目を丸くした瞬間であった。
"Backspine confish" is "Stripe sea sparrow" in Japanese. The bird's name is
contained in it. But it is a kind of boxfish. As pefferfish has small fins despite its
large body, it swims very slowly. Even if I got very close, it carefully observed
me by a eye that moved well and drafted away with keeping the short distance. I like the attitude vey much. However, I came across the surprising scene that
the backspine confish drove away other fish at incredibly high speed. "What? Is it really fast?" I and the instructor widened eyes at the moment.
