海蔵寺の写真撮影で川奈港を訪れたのだが、その後にずいぶん時間に余裕があった。かねてからスタッフに聞いていた、港から奥の岬へ伸びた、海沿いの道の行き止まりが気になっている。昔は、その辺りでも潜れたらしい。思い立って、行き止まりまで歩いてみることにする。
Though I visited Kawana harbor for the photography of Kaizouji, I had many
times after it. The stuff told me about the dead end of the road which extended
from the harbor to the back cape along the shore. People dived around there at the old time. As I wanted to go there, I began to walk in the direction of the
cape.
満開の桜が数本あった。毎年観賞しに来ているのだろうか。自転車でわざわざ訪れているカップル？夫婦？の方がいらっしゃった。その内の一本は珍しいこ桜だった。溢れるように咲きほこれる白い花穂の、ほんのごく一部に紅の花を開いていた。

道路の行き止まりには、こじんまりとした砂浜があった。船を海へ出すためであろう。線路様の鉄の棒が、海中へと伸びている。長らく使用していないためだろうか。かなり錆びている。細く短い堤防では、親子が釣り糸を垂らしていた。

and short dike.
小さな神社を発見した。帰宅して調べてみると、夷子神社らしい。漁師が祭った祠だそうである。御神体は、自然石らしい。

home. The fishermen made it a long time ago. The object of worship is a natural stone.
岩場に沿って、さらに遊歩道が伸びている。ここからも伊豆半島の山並み越しに、白い富士を眺めることができる。それを眺めつつ、のんびりと釣り糸を垂らすのは、案外この上ない贅沢かもしれない。
何かを養殖しているようであるが、詳しいことはわからない。川奈ではまだビーチ・ダイビングしか経験していないので、港から離れたこの辺りの海洋状況を知らない。

white Mt.Fuji from here over the mountains of Izu Peninsula. It may be luxurious that you enjoy fishing leisurely with watching Mt.Fuji.
The fishermen would culture the sea creatures. But I didn't know what they
were. As I only experienced the beach diving in Kawana, I couldn't know the
ocean situation around here far from the harbor.
人の少ない、自然の香りに包まれた何とものんびりとした散策路であった。さわやかな潮騒に耳鼓を打ちつつ、初島を望める伸びやかな海景を楽しめると、心が一旦洗われる心地になる。
It was a relaxing time that I could walk on the calm road with the smell of
nature. You can listen to the refreshing sound of surf, and enjoy the wide
seascape including Hatsushima. You can reset your mind for the moment.
