起雲閣訪問のきっかけとなった写真展である。買い物やその他の用事で街中を歩く先々で、ポスターを目にしていた。展示室で、海中写真家の方が開催している。
企画には、”世界の海”と”イルカの世界”に加えて、”熱海の海”があるのが嬉しい。プロの写真家の方が、熱海の海をどのようにどのような場面を撮影しているのかは、気になるところである。
”世界の海”の部門では、船が浮いているように見えるほど透明なパラオの海や、そこに沈んでいる零戦などなど、日本では拝見できない風景を垣間見ることができる。水中写真世界大会のアジア大会にて、２度、銀賞を受賞されている。その写真も、メダルと共に展示されていた。
This photo exhibition was the trigger to visit "Kiunkaku" for me. I often looked at the posters of this exhibition when I walked in the city for shopping and other
businesses. The underwater photographer held it in this room.
I was glad to be able to see "Sea in Atami" in addition to "Sea in the world" and "World of dolphin in this project. I was interested in haw and where the
professional photographer took photos.
In the division of "Sea in the world", We can appreciate the scenes which we
can't see in Japan, for example, Palau's transparent sea which looked like a
boat floated, and Zero Fighter sank in the sea. In the Asian division of the
underwater photography world competition, she has been awarded a silver
medal twice. The photos at the time was displayed with medals.
”イルカの世界”では、夫婦だろうか友人同士だろうか。二人連れ添っている姿や親子の様子を窺うことができる。
写真家の方はスキューバ・ダイビングだけでなくモノフィンのインストラクターもなさっているらしい。モノフィンとは、足に着けるフィンが、両足一つになっているものである。試したことがないので解らないが、海中で足が不自由なのは怖くないのであろうかと、状況に耽ってしまう。私はスキーをするのだが、ボードを始める際、足が固定されるのが怖いと聞く。それと似たようなものだのであろう。

She is not only an instructor of scuba diving but also an instructor of the
monofin. Monofin is one fin for two feet. As I haven't tried it yet, I can't realize
the sense. I worried about the scare situation that our legs weren't free in the
sea. I play ski. I heard that my friends were afraid of fixing their legs at the
beginning of the snowboard. Monofin may be similar to the snowboard.
”熱海の海”は親しみが湧く。撮影場所の紹介が記載されているので、周囲の環境に関するおおよその想像がつく。ただ、捉えている場面は秀逸で、ここぞという一瞬を美しく切り取っている。きっと、類まれな鑑識眼をお持ちなのであろう。
使用されているカメラも展示されている。カメラからは、いわゆる”羽”が生えている。

photos were excellent. She cut out just the beautiful moment splendidly.
Probably, she has the exceptional discerning eyes.
The camera which she used when took photos was exhibited. The camera had so-called "wings."
その他にも、新聞記事、出版された書籍などもテーブルに置かれており、自由に閲覧できる。
新聞の記事には、難病を患ったものの、それを克服して再び海に戻ってきた逞しさが記載されていた。パンフレットには、この大病を始め、３度死にかけたと書かれている。この方は、一体どのような人生を歩んできたのだろうかと、気になって仕方がない。
There were the articles about her, the published books etc on the table. We can see them freely.
Her tough history that she returned to the sea though she suffered from an
intractable disease was written on one article. It was also written on the
pamphlet that she nearly died three times including this serious disease.
余談になるのだが、こうした場面は動画で撮影したくなる。
