From the smoking area of the center of Sun Beach at night, I saw the green and red light which continued to blink. When it comes to the story of "lighthouse", I
can't help but recall the last masterpiece of Mishima, "Houjounoumi tenningosui (The sea of the fertility  Heavenly Man's Five Decline)" (Of course, I know that there are various opinions. Please forgive that it is just my opinion).

Last year, I couldn't enter it because I deposited my purse with the big luggage
to a center and couldn't pay the admission fee. About the point, there is no
blunder this year.

At first, I entered the museum about lighthouse which was established in 2006.

Here exhibit and explain various things associated with lighthouse, ship and
sea. For example, you can enjoy what kinds of creatures in Sagami Bay are
caught by turning some small boards over on a panel. Some panels explained
the aids of navigation which are essential for the ocean navigation, the nautical
instrument and various kinds of ships. The historical real things from light bulbs to LEDs which were used in lighthouse were exhibited. The clever mechanism
of lighthouse's lens, how to reach the light to long distances without attenuating the light intensity was explained by using the panels, the photos and the real
things. The sentence on the panels were easy to read and understand and I
was fascinated with many real things. I admired all of them as I could feel the
untiring effort of people to improve the maritime safety too.

I climbed the narrow spiral staircase. It became the visiting lighthouse which
always open the inside from 2007. I continued to climb around and around
gradually, Finally, I encountered the exit where I could see the scenery that cut out the distant view.

The distant view from all angles in the good weather was amazing! It flew from
Izu Peninsula, through the wide ocean that drew the horizon to Izu islands. I
could see only Toshima of Izu islands in today's cloud condition. But I could also watch the Boso Peninsula which stretched thinly on the horizon despite being
hazy. The views of Hatsushima under my eyes were different from the views
which I saw on the roads. So I looked like overlooking them as if to govern.
When I heard the very loud shower of the cicada's sounds which sprung up
from the surrounding trees, I felt the midsummer now.

(You can see the view from the top of the lighthouse and the green and red light from Atami at night.)

The names of the islands and regions were written on the floor of the top. We
can see Mt. Fuji from here. But I couldn't worship the mountain because of the
thick clouds this day. By the way, I knew that Mt. Fuji rises at the back of Atami
if we saw it from here.
