As I just visited Tokyo at the best time of blooming, I decided to admire Sakura.

I searched and picked up some interested places by the internet and went to a
temple near the event location. I walked around in the event very hard. As I
wanted to take a break, I entered a Japanese Pub which I accidentally found.
Tokyo is very severe about smoking. So, I felt difficult to find a smoking area.

There was no customer for the early time. Then, I asked an owner where your
recommendation to admire Sakura was around here. Fortunately, she was a
local. So, she was very familiar around the place. As she said that “Edogawa
Bridge” was the best, I asked the detailed location. Her answer was that it’s two stops by train. My intention of the question was within walking distance. But I
guessed that Tokyo’s people think that the area of two stops by train is in the
neighborhood. I was interested in this kind of discomfort.
This is the view from “Edogawa Bridge” near the subway exit.

As this bridge is called “Edogawa”, I simply thought that it hanged over “Edo
River”. But it is different. Now, this river is “Kanda River”. But once, this only
middle reaches of “Kanda River” was called as “Edo River”. At the time, the area around this river had “Edo River” in the part of the name. However, by
integrating the name of the river into “Kanda River”, the name of location was
changed too. The reason that “Edo River is left in the name of the station and
bridge is that they inherited the name of the streetcar stop which run until 1971. Some parks and elementary schools inherited too.
In the square at the foot of the bridge, one large weeping cherry tree was
planted.
I heard that there was the row of Sakura trees along the promenade beside the river. The roadside was a long park from the bridge to “Hotel Tinzsan-sou" and
the places for rest were made here and there. It seemed that only people who
knew there were Sakura trees here appreciated the full blooming. Each group
found their own favorite places and enjoyed drinks and snacks with close
friends.
