中山晋平記念館（梅園の中） Museum of ”Shinpei Nakayama”

梅園の狭い一角に、古い日本家屋がひっそりと佇んでいる。
The old Japanese house quietly stands at the narrow space in the plum
garden of Atami.
高名な作曲家、中山晋平氏の記念館である。来宮駅の山側の西山町にあった氏の別荘を、ここに移築したそうである。
Here is the museum of "Shinpei Nakayama" who is a famous composer of the
old time in Japan.
触れることはできないが、氏の愛用したピアノを見ることができる。
We can closely observe the piano which was used regularly by him, though we can't touch them.
このような家屋に住んだことはないのに、なぜか懐かしさを感じる建築である。木材や畳の温もりが感じられ、心がほっと和む。
I haven't lived in this kind of house, but I can feel nostalgia to this architecture. I can feel the warmness of lumbers and tatami (straw mats), so I can relax
naturally.
二階へ続く階段が急で狭いのが、いかにも昔の日本家屋らしい。
This narrow and steep stairs which is leading the second floor seem to be
so-called the old Japanese house.
二階からの眺望も素晴らしい。
The view from the second floor is so wonderful.
作曲された童謡には、良く知るものが多くある。思わずメロディーが頭に浮かぶ。東京音頭など、父の実家が祐天寺の傍だったので、小学生の頃に毎年訪れた夏のお祭りを思い出す。
昭和世代には古き良きを回顧でき、子供の頃の思い出が溢れてくる記念館であった。
I know many nursery songs which were made by him. I remember their melody
in my mind unconsciously. By "Tokyo Ondo", I remembered the Bon Odori at
Yutenji (temple at Meguro). When I was childhood, I went the summer festival of Yutenji every year.
I indulged in the old and good "Showa time (about for 45 years from WWII for
Japanese, I think)", my memories of childhood overflowed in the museum.
