静岡県・ジャカランダ遊歩道
毎年６月になると、ジャカランダの開花に合わせて遊歩道がライトアップされる。面白いのが、ライトアップの方法である。竹筒に模様を彫り込み、中に照明器具を仕込む。それを歩道沿いに、横に並べたり縦に立てたりして、古くからの日本特有の淡い陰影を演出している。
The promenade near the beach was lit up every June according to the blooming of "Jacaranda. I was interested in the methods of the light up. Many kinds of
patterns were carved on the surface of the bamboo tubes and the lighting
equipments were installed in the tubes. The tubes arranged horizontally along
the road or stood vertically at the side of the road. They produced a faint
shadow peculiar to Japan from the old time.
カスカイス市から最初にジャカランダが贈られたのは、ごく最近の１９９０年であった。寄贈されたのはたったの２本で、それが現在では１００本以上にまで増えているそうである。前回に記したが、想定通りの気分屋らしく、咲くか、咲かぬかは、その時になってみないとわからないらしい。そんな自由な特徴も、日頃から南国気分が味わえる、ビーチに沿ったのこの散歩道に相応しいような気がしている。”頭に花が落ちると、その人に幸福が訪れる”そうである。芝生には結構花が落ちていたので、幸福になれる可能性は高いかもしれない。
The first Jacarandas were sent from Cascais city in 1990, It's very recent.
Though only two trees were sent at the time, they have increased to over 100
now. As the trees seem moody, we can't know whether each tree blooms or not this year until the blooming time like I imagined at my article before. I felt that
the whimsical feature matches this road where we can taste the feeling of
southern countries everyday along the beach. I heard "the lucky would come to you, if the flowers fell on your head." As a lot of flowers fell on the ground
already, the possibility may be low to be happy.
竹筒を並べて一枚板のようにし、そこに絵画のように穴で点描したり、文字を連ねていたりしている。その技巧は見事でしかない。筒の模様は一つ一つが手作りなので、同じものが二つとない。自分のお気に入りを探してみるのも楽しい。
The bamboo tubes were arranged like the single board. On the surface, the
picture was depicted with the dots and the letters were written. The technique
was amazing! Each pattern was handmade. Every pattern was different. You
might enjoy looking for your favorite one.
散策した日には、たまたま小さな満月が上がっていたが、遠い岬の上に建つ熱海城も同じようにライトアップされており、ここから眺めても味わいがある。
It was a good timing that the full moon was rising. In addition, the view of the
lighting Atami Castle which was built on the distant cape was tasteful.
昨年に初めて訪れている。その際はロシアのウクライナ侵攻が始まった当初で、誰も長期化を想定していなかったためだろう。早期終結とそれに続く平和の到来が漠然と信じられていたように思う。
だが、既に１年以上が経過し、現在も継続した先の見えない状況となっている。終戦と平和への願いは、かつての楽観的な希望的観測から、強い祈りや願いのようになっている感がある。その変化が、去年と今年の竹筒に現れていたような気がしてならない。最早言葉ではなく、形象で表さざるを得ないのかもしれない。
I visited the festival last year for the first time. At the time, Russia has started to invade Ukraine. But nobody predicted that this prolong like the current situation. We vaguely believed the early end of this war and the arrival of peace that
follow it.
However, the war has passed over a year and it is the unpredictable situation
that continues to this day. Our wish for the end of the war and the peace seems to become a strong pray or petition rather than the optimistic wishful thinking at one year ago. I thought that the transition was represented as the difference on the surface of the bamboo tubes. Now we can't help expressing it in image
rather than in words
