はや、今年も熱海に桜の時期が訪れた。まだ１月半ばである。
早咲きの理由は、交配した桜の種類にある。沖縄の寒緋桜と関西以西のヤマザクラとの自然な雑種であるらしい。一枝に早咲きの花と遅咲きのとが併存しているため、桜にしては長い期間、およそ一月ほど花見を楽しめるようである。
Already, the season of the cherry blossom came in Atami this year. It was still in the middle of January.
The cherry trees were arranged along with "Ito River". They are the endemic
species, "Atami Zakura" and famous as "Sakura blooming the earliest in
Japan". I thought that the timing of blooming was late a little bit compared with
the last year. The beginning of blooming last year In Atami was earlier than in
Okinaswa.
The cause of the early blooming is the hybridized species of Sakura. It is the
natural hybrid of "Kanhi Zakura in Okinawa" and "Yama Zakura in Western
Japan". The early blooming flowers and the late blooming flowers coexist on
one branch. Therefore, we can appreciate cherry blossom for a long term, like
about one month.
私は知らなかったのであるが、コロナ禍であった昨年は、公に宣伝するには抵抗があったのであろうか。糸川に架かる橋で見つけたパンフレットには、およそひと月に渡る桜まつりの期間中に開催されるイベントが漏れなく紹介されていた。音楽ライブやお茶などの無料サービス、他地域のご当地グルメなど、多岐に渡っているのが面白い。
Whether did Atami's citizens feel resistance to advertise "Sakura Festival"
publicly as the last year was in Covid-19 pandemic? I found a pamphlet on a
bridge over "Ito River. Though I didn't know the fact, many events which were
held during this festival ware introduced on it. It was interesting that many kinds of events, for example, the music lives, the free service of green tea, the local
gourmet from other regions and so on, were held.
夜間はライトアップされる。そのため、昼日中の爽やかな桜と、夜空を背景に照り映える艶美な桜と、一日で二つの景色を堪能できるのが魅力であろう。
川沿い周辺は主に夜の飲食店が集積しているため、週末や祝日の日暮れ時にならいと、ほぼ人通りがない。だが、今年は２０日を過ぎた辺りから、日中であっても重くて高価そうなカメラや携帯を時折じっと構えて、撮影しながら散策する人の姿が随分と増えた。お！ここは綺麗な画像が撮れそうだ、と直感的に感じる場所には既に先人がおり、撮影が終わるのを待つこともある。また、撮影中にも新たに人が現れるので、何となく撮影に手際の良さが求められるような気がしてしまう。
The cherry blossom was lighted up at night. It is attractive that we would enjoy
two beautiful scenes of the fresh Sakura in noon time and the lighted luscious
Sakura against the background of the night sky.
As many night restaurants mainly congest around the alongside of the river,
almost people don't walk around here except for the time of twilight in weekend and holiday. But I have seen the scenes that many people who had a heavy
and expensive camera or a cell phone walked around with often holding their
devices despite of the noon time since about 20, January. Sometimes I found
the place that I would be able to take the very nice picture intuitively. However,
somebody already occupied it. Therefore, I had to wait for a few minutes.
Moreover, the new comers presented while I took pictures. At the time, I thought that they ask for me to do it efficiently.
海沿いにも、夫婦の銅像に寄り添うように、二本の熱海桜が咲いていた。ムーンテラスへ降りていく階段の脇である。
夫の釜鳴屋平七（かまなりやへいしち）は、熱海の網元の生まれである。安政になって、網元と網子の間で諍いが生じ、漁場騒動にまで発展してしまった。平七は網元であるが、網元らの強引なやり方に義憤を感じたため、網子の側に立って事態の収束を図った。だが、平七は一揆の首謀者とされ、投獄の後に八丈島への島流しとなる。その途次の大島で、３５歳の若さで世を去った。後、漁民らは平七の遺志を継ぎ、勝訴した、とのことである。
銅像は、熱海梅園の隣に記念美術館がある澤田政廣氏の手によるものである。
また、台座には武者小路実篤氏が平七を称えた揮毫が、銅板に刻まれている。
Near the sea, two "Atami Zakura" bloomed as if standing close to the statue of
the couple. It was the next to the stairs to go down to "Moon Terrace".
The husband, "Heishiti Kamanariya" was born into the owner's family of fishing nets and vessels in Atami. In Ansei era (1855 - 1860), a quarrel occurred
between the owner and the employees and it developed to the fishing ground
disturbance. As Heishiti felt righteous indignation to the forceful way of the
owner, he stood at the side of employees and tried to solute this quarrel.
However, he was exiled to Hachijo Island after imprisonment because he was
regarded as the ringleader of the riot. At Ohshima which was in the middle of
the way to Hachijo Island, he passed away at the young age of 35. Then, the
employees inherited his will and won the lawsuit.
This bronze statue was made by "Masahiro Sawada". His art museum is
constructed next to "Atami Plum Garden". In addition, there is the bronze plate on which the calligraphy written by "Saneatsu Mushanokouji" who appreciated
him was carved on the pedestal.
その脇には、２０２１年没後に、熱海市より名誉市民と評された橋田寿賀子氏の表彰碑が立っている。碑面には白い文字で、橋田氏が貢献されてきた脚本界での経歴や作品に根付く信念などが記されている。著名な作品名も列記されており、ああ、これも橋田氏の作成によるものだったのかと、改めて感心してしまう。
Next to the bronze statue, the commendation monument for "Hashida Sugako" who was awarded as the honorary citizen by Atami City was constructed. On
the surface of the monument, Hashida's career contributing to the screenwriting world and the beliefs rooted in her works were carved in white letters. In
addition, the name of her famous works were listed. I was impressed once
again by knowing that oh, that work was made by her.
ここからは贅沢にも、桜と海景が同時に楽しめる。
We can enjoy cherry blossoms and seascape at the same time from here
luxuriously.
海側の下流から登ってくると、次第に川幅が狭まってくるので、満開の花々が徐々に凝集され、密度が上がっていくように感じられる。薄桃色の花弁が下方から照らされる夜間には、特にこの印象が強くなる。
As I ascended from the downstream on the sea side, the width of the river
gradually became narrow. The fully blooming flowers also were gathered, so I
felt the density increasing. At the night when the pale pink petals were
illuminated from below, this impression would be strong especially.
桜橋には提灯が陳列され、日が暮れると、明かりが灯される。
Many lanterns were displayed on "Sakura Bridge". After the sunset, the lights
were turned on.
