これが四六時中続くのである。ウクライナの友人が、子供が怖がって精神的に不安定になってしまって、…と語っていたが、嫌が上にもその理由がよくわかった。敏感で多感な子供ならまだしも、大人でも厳しい。日々、そこかしこに雷が落ち、その後に小さな地震が轟いてくるのである。そして、雷なら落ちるだけだが、爆弾はあらゆるものを破壊し、さらには人々を殺傷する。
それでも、生きるためには最低限でも生活していかねばならない。ガスが使えないので、レンガで作った即席の竈に壊れた建物の木材で火をくべ、大きな鍋で、ウクライナの魂の料理”ボルシチ”を野外で作る姿には、ウクライナの人々の逞しさを実感した。

The loud sound continues day and night. Ukrainian friend told me that her
children became unstable mentally because they were afraid of the sound. I
could realize the reason adequately. I can understand it as the children are very sensitive. But it is very tough even for adults. The lighting struck here and there everyday, and then the earth tremors reach every time. The lighting is only to
drop. However, the bombs destroy everything and murder the general people.
Nevertheless, the citizens have to lead their lives even if the quality of life was
the lowest. As they couldn't use the gas, they made the simple hearth by using
the bricks by themselves, and made the fire with the broken building's woods.
Then they cooked "Borscht" in the big pot outside for everyone who evacuated
in a church. I felt Ukrainian toughness in their attitude.
マリウポリは、アゾフ海に面した大きな港湾都市である。学校の地理の授業で誰もが習ったと思うが、世界屈指の規模のドネツ炭田を持つ産業都市と言えばピンと来る人も多いだろう。
だが、この侵略によりこの都市がクローズアップされたのは、悲劇ばかりである。「子供たち」と地面に記したにもかかわらず爆撃されて、多数の女性や子供が亡くなった劇場。アゾフスターリ製鉄所の地下に、不衛生になっても何か月も立て籠もった、子供を含めた人々の悲惨な生活。その市民を最後まで守り抜いたアゾフ大隊の勇敢で生真面目な兵士たち。これほど遣り切れないことはないであろう。
一刻も早くこの無慈悲な侵略が終結し、活気を取り戻した美しいウクライナの都市として再生することを、願って止まない。

Mariupol is the large port city facing the sea of Azov. I think we learned the
place. Someone may remember if you heard that the industrial city had one of
the largest coal field, Donets Coalfield.
However, it is also the tragedy that the city was focused by this inhumane
invasion. There was the theater where was bombed by Russian military despite the fact that many women and children evacuated in the building and they wrote "Children" on the ground. We saw the miserable life who had barricaded
themselves for a few months in the unsanitary shelter of Azovstari Steel Works. We know the brave and earnest soldiers, Azov battalion who protect the citizens finally. I wouldn't know more cruel and sad facts than this.
I heartly hope that this ruthless invasion finish as soon as possible, retrieve the vitality revive as the beautiful Ukrainian city again.
