渚の駅の翌日に、二か所目の、波左間海中公園を訪れる。
今回は丁度いろいろ事情があったらしく、レジェンド・ダイバーの社長が一緒に潜ってくれた。滅多にないことらしい。ダイビング歴が６０年を超える、生きている伝説の方である。
On the next day when I visited the Beach Station, I went to the second spot,
Hasama Ocean Park.
They seemed to have some reasons at the time, so the president enjoyed the
diving with me. A stuff said it was the rare case. His career as a diver exceed 60 years. He is called the "living legend".
波左間に特有なのは、神社と頼子（よりこ）、それと潜ってから実際に知ったのが、海中カプセルである。
海底に立つ厳かな鳥居をくぐってから、頼子にご挨拶をする。その後、神社に参拝し、祈願する。海中でのお参りというのも、不思議である。小さなお社の周囲には、多種多様な魚が遊泳していて、何とも幻想的であった。

I passed through the solemn "Torii" standing in the bottom of the sea, and said
hello to Yoriko. Then, I worshiped the sea shrine. This experience was a wonder for me. Many kinds of fishes were swimming around the small shrine. I felt so
fantastic.
陸での休憩中に社長から直接お伺いした話では、社長は頼子の命を二度救ったことがあると仰られた。コブダイには縄張り争いをする習性があり、戦いで傷つき、口周りをひどく損傷した頼子に直接食べ物を口に運び、傷口に軟膏を塗り続けたそうである。塗った直後は激痛で一度逃げるが、またすぐに社長の元に戻ってくる。また塗る。痛くて逃げる、を何度も繰り返したと仰られていた。
因みに、頼子は雄である。コブダイは一匹の雄がハーレムを形成する。雄がいなくなると、雌の中で最も大きな個体が雄へと性転換するのである。頼子の名は、まだ小さな雌であった頃に名付けられ、そのまま呼び続けられているのだった。

Yoriko twice before. Asian sheepshead wrasse has the habit of fighting to
protect one's territory. Yoriko was injured around the mouth badly at the fight.
He continued to carry foods into Yoriko's mouth and apply an ointment around
the mouth. Yoriko escaped for the ache by the medicine for the moment, but
she came back to the president right now. This action repeated again and
again, he said.
Incidentally, Yoriko is a male. One male forms a harem in Asian sheepshead
wrasse's world. If there wasn't a male, the biggest female would be switched to a male. The name "Yoriko" were named at the childhood still female. The stuffs continue to call him Yoriko.
頼子は、社長が大好きである。社長が行くところ、どこまでも着いて行く。海中を連れ添う二人には、何やら心を暖められるようなロマンが漂う。
ここの砂地には、希少な生物、ウミエラが群生している。太古から姿を変えていない生物で、普段は砂から生えたアスパラガスのように見えるが、水流が出てくると羽を広げるようにして、流れくるプランクトンを捕食する。流れが強すぎてもいけないようで、また羽を閉じてしまうらしい。私が訪れたときは、流れが出始まったばかりだったようで、一本だけが開いていた。
一通り観賞して、神社へ戻ってくる。そして、最後のアトラクションである海中カプセルの中に入った。カプセル内は空気で満たされている。そのため、海中にいながらマスクを外したり、レギュレーターを取って呼吸することができる。透明なカプセルを通して、肉眼で海中を眺めることができた。

Yoriko love the president. She followed around everywhere with him. The
appearance that they were always together was drifted the romance like that
our heart were warmed.
The rare creature, Sea Pen grow in a crowd at the sand field in Hasama. It has never changed the shape from the ancient times. It usually looks like the
asparagus which sprout from sand. However, it captures and eats the plankton as if opening the wings when the flow of the sea occurs. It doesn't like the
strong flow. If so, it would close the wings. When I visited the field, the water
just began to flow. Only one Sea Pen opened.
I came back to the shrine after watching the general places. And I went into the last attraction, capsule. The air was filled in it. I could breathe directly in the
capsule by removing my mask and regulator. In addition, I could see the scene of the sea through the transparent wall.
二本目は、社長自ら作成したというコンクリートの漁礁、通称”ドリーム”に潜る。中身が刳り抜かれた箱型のコンクリートが綺麗に並べ、または積み上げられている。様々な方向、あるいは高さの空洞を進めば、一回のダイビングで多様な洞窟を潜っているような気分が味わえた。
I went to the big fish shelter, commonly called "Dream" which the president
made at the second dive. The concrete boxes which have only framework were arranged and piled up. If I went into it from the different directions and the
different heights, I could experience the feeling that I went through many kinds
of caves at only one dive.
館山には、海を見渡せる景勝地が多い。先日の伊戸と共に、ここ、波左間もその一つである。伊戸と波左間の方々には、双方ダイビングできるように天候具合を勘案しつつ日程を調整していただいたことを、心より感謝している。伊戸からの帰途に波左間に器材を預けさせていただいたりと、配慮の行き届いた心配りに、また訪れたくなる。
余談になるが、私は酒飲みなので、伊戸でも波左間でもスタッフの方々に行きつけやお薦めのお店をお伺いしてみる。面白いことに、どちらの方もまずはトルコ料理のお店を紹介してくれた。いわゆる、ダイバーの溜まり場であろう。

There are many scenic spots to be able to look around the sea in Tateyama.
Hasama and Ito where I dived a few days ago are one of them too. I
appreciated both stuffs heartly because they adjusted my plan each other to
dive both spots with considering the weather and the wind. In addition, the stuff of Ito carried my equipment to Hasama when I came back to the hotel. And the stuff of Hasama managed it for my next diving. I want to visit them again by
touching their warm heart.
If you'll allow a slight digression, I asked them the pub or the bar which they
visited regularly. I like to drink liquer. It was funny that both stuffs recommended me Turkish restaurant which Turkish managed. So it seemed the haunt of divers for me.
